We would like to welcome you, our guests, staying at Purden Lake Resort this summer 2020, in these unusual times. To accommodate camping and enjoyment of the outdoors at Purden Lake Resort this summer, and to comply with Provincial and Local health recommendations to provide the safest experience at Purden Lake Resort during the current COVID-19 situation, the following guidelines and restrictions are currently in place.
A. What you, our guests, must do: 1. Please visit us by Reservation only. (No drop-ins. No Day Use. No day visitors). Your reservation is for your family only. Group gatherings are limited and all must adhere to staying two meters (6 feet) apart from non-related parties. If you are camping with friends and/or relatives, with each in their own site, please keep to your own campsite and avoid gathering in one site. Please have your own campfire (avoid group campfires). 2. Physical distancing rules are in effect. Please stay two meters (6 feet) away from anyone that is not part of your site/household. Please be hyper-vigilant with this when interacting with other guests on the property. 3. The beach area can only be used if Physical Distancing can be maintained. This means that a limited number of people can be on the beach at one time. We recommend that you enjoy the Resort from within your site boundaries for now. Use the beach for access to the swimming area for a quick swim. Limit your time on the beach so others can use the beach as well. Use the docks to access your boat only. 4. Please have your kids wash their hands before and after using the playgrounds. 5. The public washrooms/shower/laundry are monitored and cleaned often, however PLEASE RESPECT THE IMPORTANCE OF CLEANLINESS OF OUR WASHROOMS AND HELP US KEEP THEM CLEAN AND OPEN BY CLEANING UP AFTER YOURSELF. Guests are encouraged to use the facilities in their own RV’s. Most sites have a sewer connection. The sani-dump is open. We urge you to wash your hands frequently. 6. Pack out what you pack in. To ensure the health and safety of our staff, we will not be able to handle any trash/recycling. 7. If you or anyone in your household is ill, or has been ill in the two weeks prior to your planned visit to Purden Lake Resort, please STAY HOME.Please do not come to Purden if you or anyone in your household is exhibiting symptoms of ANY illness, or has had symptoms of ANY illness within the 2 weeks prior to your planned visit to Purden Lake Resort. Your reservation can be re-booked for another time. 8. Practice kindness and patience. Exercise common sense.
A. What we, the management, are doing: 1. We are ensuring that there is more space between RVers by selectively choosing which sites will be reserved/occupied. We have increased the size of some of our sites to give more space between units. 2. To limit overcrowding on the property, we will not be taking in any day visitors. The Resort is open for overnight camping/cabin guests only. 3. We are not taking any group reservations. 4. We are limiting our interaction with guests by using email and text to commmunicate, and online resources to collect fees. 5. The public washrooms/shower/laundry are monitored and cleaned often, however we encourage guests to use the facilities in their own RV’s. Most sites have a sewer connection. The sani-dump is open. 6. We will be monitoring for compliance of Physical Distancing requirements, especially on the beach and public areas. We may have to close the beach from time-to-time. 7. We will be re-booking reservations if you or anyone in your household is ill, or has been ill in the two weeks prior to your planned visit to Purden Lake Resort. We are asking that you do not come to Purden if you or anyone in your household is exhibiting symptoms of ANY illness, or has had symptoms of ANY illness within the 2 weeks prior to your planned visit to Purden Lake Resort. 8. The Restaurant on site will remain closed. This may not be a complete list of adjustments/restrictions. These guidelines will be updatde as needed. Please visit this page before your visit to Purden to keep informed of any changes. With some creativity and flexibility, we should all be able to enjoy the lake this summer. Thank you a for your understanding and compliance.
